Oh my gosh!!! I am SUPER excited for Secret Santa! I mean, we already do have our names and stuff, but I mean, I can't wait for the day we DO Secret Santa! I absolutely L-O-V-E Christmas time, and I love to wrap presents in an original, crafty way! It also kills my boredom when I wrap as well, it gets my mind going… Anyways, this year, I am an eighth grader doing it, and I don't know, it just feels better… Like I have a feeling that this year's Secret Santa is going to be awesome! Mostly because I can't really remember what last year's Secret Santa was like. Although, I do hope someone wraps a gift multiple times so that it's like fun to watch the person having to open up a bunch of wrapping paper! I hope that this year, everyone is satisfied with their gifts that they get, and are appreciative, because it would really be a bummer if you showed that you didn't like the gift you got. Imagine how the person that got it for you would feel if you did that right? I would feel terrible and kind of sad that they didn't like my gift. I'm also excited to see who has who for their Secret Santas! It's going to be super duper fun, and I just can't wait, I feel like exploding! I"
So our project is due in like four days, not including today. How are you guys feeling about this? Me? I'm feeling alright, but not the best. Here's why. We have our basic stuff done, such as everything covered from our script already on the timeline. So, basically our first draft. We still have to show it to Mr. M! All we have for B-oll is pretty much just pictures, and we don't even have sounds for the beginning! Lastly, we only have a little bit of time since we can't stay in after school Monday! So that is really just too bad…
First of all, our deadline sure is coming up soon. We have all of our b-roll and interviews and what-not, already put into the timeline.. Although, there are some minor things that we need to work on, such as fixing interview colors, so it looks nicer, or like adding motion to the pictures. We are pretty much covered for our first draft, but we still need to show it to Mr. M so we can make revisions. I am kind of stressing out a little bit, because it's also finals week, and we're focused on studying for that as well, so we are scrambling to finish up everything at once! I won't even be here on Monday as well, because I have to go on my Art field trip all the way in Hanapepe! I really hope Nicole gets things done for recesses! Ahhhhh!!!!! Second of all, we didn't even cover the BEGINNING NAT sounds!!! We don't have video clips with sound in them, but we do have video clips… I don't know what we are going to put for the opening shot now! Unless we can find a way to upload the video clips that Mark and shared with me on Dropbox. Please, if you know how, can someone tell me? Anyways, I really hope we get that done, because that's one of the major parts… I know I said we were pau with the first draft, and we are. It doesn't necessarily mean that the first draft is the good one. Once we get our feedback, then we will hopefully have a better beginning. Lastly, our time is even shorter for us to work on our projects because we no longer have a laptop to use for our project. We are stuck with the big desktops at the school- non portable… It is better than nothing though. It is also easier to like drag things as well because you have a mouse that you can like lift up and move around rather than just a small square. Since we have the desktops, we can't take them home. To make matters worse, which I know is not necessarily his fault, but Mr. M won't be here so we can't stay after school on Monday, and we couldn't today as well! I was really bummed out about that. My plan is to stay in for every recess and bring like home lunch so I can eat my food later on. I hope we have enough time to finish it! This is going to be our second major deadline… and then there will be our third, and finally, our fourth and final deadline. I am trying to shoot to meet all three leftover deadlines! Starting from this up coming one. So far, I think we are a little bit behind on our schedule, but looking around, I think compared to others, we might be on-time, but I'm just gonna put it in my mind that we are a little behind so that I can convince myself to get it done quicker! Even my mom was telling me that I better hurry up, she was seeming like she was stressing out about my project too! (Don't tell her I said that) This project was a little easier for us in the b-roll situation, since we didn't need to film or shoot any of it, but yet it's harder, because this orphanage is all the way in Thailand, and we are all the way in Kauai! I think this will be a great story though, and I hope it Hey guys! Aren't you so excited to wake up super early in the morning to go to school at like 5 something AM!!!!? I know I am!!! Just kidding, about the early morning part, but trust me, it will be a lot of fun! I actually like coming to school early in the morning because it's like all dark and there's all the dim lights in the buildings. The scenery just makes me feel like I'm going to the airport to fly off to California! SO, for some reason, I always like to go places in that time of day… So, tomorrow is a pretty big day for all of us! Alright, let's get our chins up, smiles on…. and be rising and shining tomorrow morning for all of our supporters! Let's show them that we are worth spending money for! All of us have important jobs that all connect into providing a good service team. I am assigned a greeter, which means that I have to be all smiles to the crowd and thank them for supporting us! No problem. I do have one question though, our breakfast is always the same right? How come we don't switch it up a bit, like change what kind of meat it is or something? I don't know, but no matter what the breakfast is, we should always be improving what we do every year, so we can top off the last one. I hope this year we raise quite a bit of money for our trip!! I am so excited! We are working our way up and up to reach our destination! The breakfast is just one step closer! A big step, in fact. so I hope that all goes well. For sure it will be better than the Street fair though. So all of you do not forget to be the happiest, most appreciative little children- wait no, let's say mature, children ever! Be careful not to be too wild and crazy so we look like irresponsible little kids, because remember, we want to impress them! This is gonna be so much fun, getting to bond with all of you! See you tomorrow morning at approximately 5:30 or 5 IN THE MORNING!!!!
To be honest, I am a huge fan of watching Christmas movies! These are one of the few things that I would stay up to watch 'till the end! It is so hard for me to pick a favorite! Most of my favorite Holiday Christmas movies are on the Hallmark channel! Some movies I like are Christmas in Conway, Holiday Engagement, and Christmas With Holly! Those movies are so awesome!! I really can't pick a favorite… So here's what I'll do, I'm going to just tell you about one of my many favorites, the holiday engagement! Christmas is my favorite time of the year!! A perfect time to watch Christmas movies and drink hot cocoa….. Mmmmm One reason I really like this movie is because of the plot. It has a good ending, and when you watch the end, you're just like, "Yes!! I knew this was gonna happen!!" I also like that it had some funny scenes in it, aside from the love story. Oh, that's also what I like, that it's a love story! My final reason though, is that the movie had good actors that made you even feel the same way they felt, like if they made a smily face, you would too!
One of my favorite Christmas movies is the Holiday Engagement! This movie is one of my All-Time favorites!! I can watch this movie over and over again! This is because I never get tired of the story, and even the little things in between that happens! I'm sure you've watched this movie before! It's also on the Hallmark channel as well! In the Holiday Engagement, there is a boyfriend and girlfriend, who seem like they would be getting engaged already… they are not teens. So anyways, the girl, Hillary, wants her boyfriend, Jason, to spend the Holidays with her and her family, and he says okay. She tells all her folks about the exciting news, and then Jason calls to tell her he can't make it, because of work. She is totally upset and sad about this, and she doesn't want her mom to be disappointed in her, so she and her friend go online and FaceTime all these guys who would be willing to take the place of Jason for the Holidays. After a while, she's over it, but then the last guy pops up on the screen, and his name is David. She recognizes him from somewhere… he was the guy she has ran into on the street, who was wearing a cellphone costume, advertising for his job! She feels somewhat comfortable with him taking Jason's place, so she hires him. After that, Hillary brings David to the house and introduces him to the family. He starts acting like he's Jason, and being real nice and everything. Then she starts to maybe feel some actual love for him, since she's been spending more time with David than with Jason. One night, someone comes to knock on the door and it's Jason!! Everyone was so confused, and so she finally had to tell them that David was not Jason. The mom was kind of angry, and she kicked David out and told him to leave.. David had told the mom that Hillary did it because all she wanted to do was make her happy. In the end, Hillary went to go get David and they lived happily ever after! I just love these endings where you think something's going to happen, for instance, that David and Hillary are going to end up together, but then David leaves, so you're like, what???? No!!! But then it twists around where the girl goes back for the guy and they live happily ever after!! I love these kinds of love stories! THE BEST!!!!! Alright now a second reason why I like this movie is because it is absolutely funny! Most love stories are mostly passionate and like dramatic and stuff, but this one had a lot of funny scenes!! It almost seemed like their love itself was funny… Anyways, one funny part in the movie was when Lindsey, DAvid's ex-girlfriend showed up, and they sat down at a table, talking. Lindsey wanted to get back with David, but then David didn't want to be mean and tell her no. So then Hillary steps in and kisses David and starts acting all lovey dovey with him to make Lindsey think that her and David are a couple.. She and DAvid are like talking to each other about how their relationship is and how David proposed to Hillary and all. Lindsey was getting all awkward and left, while they were kissing, and then when she left, Hillary and David stopped and then they started laughing and high-fived each other. That made my mom, my dad, Mari, and I all laugh! It was also funny when they were shopping for a wedding dress for Hillary, and then this one lady, who wasn't so decent looking, said she wanted that dress, and then she kept repeating it over and over again, about Hillary's dress. Finally, Hillary said, "i'll take it" and they set it on the counter. The crazy lady ran and grabbed it, and then David tackled her and gave it back to Hillary, who was in shock. There were other funny parts as well, but those ones are kind of the main parts, but you can see how this movie would be funny! Lastly, all the people in this movie were such great actors and actresses! You could just feel he emotion that they were feeling, like you were part of them! i'm not kidding, like if they would laugh, you would too, and if they smiled, you would as well! I even laughed at myself for doing that, because this one time, she and David were smiling at each other, and I started to smile too, and then I realized that My Dad must think I was weird or something, because he wasn't smiling at the time, and so I started to laugh. But, I think that that is so cool that you are able to have actors that are so convincing in your movies, that can make that happen. I think that those would be the best movies. Although, it isn't so great when someone is doing something that is serious, but their acting is so bad that they have to laugh at how funny it is. This movie though, didn't have any of those moments, because everything in that movie was meant to be funny when it was. I've also seen these actors and actresses in a few other showings, so they definitely have experience, which is probably why the movie was so good. Through all the scenes, whether it was serious or funny, for me, I felt that exact same way. Usually I just sit straight faced, but for this movie, it brought more emotions out of me than normal!! I would hate to have to watch a movie where the plot was good and everything, but the acting is so horrible! So the holiday engagement was my kind of movie to watch! The Holiday Engagement is one of the best movies I've watched so far! It's a love story, but it's funny, and it has a Happily Ever After ending! It was a believable story as well. Again, there are so many Christmas movies that I love to watch, even if it's not during the holidays! Christmas movies are the bomb! I love to watch Christmas movies, especially when its drizzling outside during Christmas time, and I'm sipping on some cocoa, because it just feels like it's already Christmas!! So, if you really want to get that Christmas feel on a rainy day, drink some hot cocoa, with a warm blanket, and watch the Holiday Engagement! I encourage all of you to watch this movie! In fact, any movie on the Hallmark channel is amazing! It gets you pumped for the Holiday "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!" |
