When I grow up, there's going to be a lot of opportunities out there for me to take. As of right now, I'm not quite sure what I want to be yet. I can tell you one thing for sure though... I want to be in the film industry. Also, I wouldn't mind becoming a writer. Lastly, I would like to take on an acting career. My main dream though, is to work my way up to become an actress of some sort, and I know you're all probably thinking, "What?!!!??" "That's so lame", and "It's not a guarantee you'll get the part!" I know, it's not guaranteed, but a girl can dream.
So, even though I don't really have a set job in my mind, I have a dream, a thought. All of my jobs I mentioned earlier, all tie up together. Yes, they are all in the film industry. First off, I would like to be in the film industry, so like a Producer, or a First-assistant Director. To make my way up to become a producer, I'll take it step by step. First, I'll start with Postproduction, and study that kind of stuff in college, and then work my way up. A First-assistant Director comes in somewhere along the lines. I am interested in this because I feel like it would be a very interesting and somewhat fun job to have, for someone like me, because I like to create dialogues and scenery type things.
If I can't become a producer, my back up would have to be a writer. How does this fit in? Well, If my writing is really good, and I mean REALLY GOOD, then I can write my own script and and be in my own movie or whatever. But, your script has to be like super duper extra brilliant, or else it's a very tiny tiny chance, or maybe even no chance at all that they will accept your script and let you act. If you give them a poor script the first try, they probably won't accept any of your other scripts because now they know that you can't write. But, I'll never know unless I try!
Lastly, I want to pursue my acting career. In order to do that, you can't just go to a studio and audition, but yet you have absolutely NO experience! You have to work your butt off in doing whatever you can to get the most out of it because it's not likely for them to hire you if you only had one or two acting experiences. And I'm not trying to put all of the other people out there who want to become actresses or actors, but I just want you to know that you need to be really passionate about it. It doesn't really matter like, how many leadership skills you have, or how many parties you went to, or if you got all of your homework done or anything. They just want a good actor/actress. So, that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to go out there and do as much as I possibly can to get me to where I wanna be, no matter how long or how hard it takes me, I'm gonna try.
I'm very passionate about these kinds of things, and in fact, I've written many short film scripts of my own, but they just need revisions, which is one start for me to become better. I'm really passionate about acting, and I really hope that day, I'll get a part for a feature film or something, because this is what I am really in to. I know almost everything about how to get there and where to start, and I've talked to lots of people that are in the film industry and acting industry, so that's one way to get a head start. I hope you guys that want to be an actor/actress learned from my blog! Lindsey probably also knows some of this stuff, because, well, I told her, since she said she was interested, which..... who isn't?? Anyways, so yeah, that's me, and this is who I wanna be!
