Hey everybody! I'm back! This year, my partner is Nicole, and our story is on the Lack Of Gyms on Kauai. So far, so good! We are literally almost done with our script, because we got all of our interviews already!! I was so happy! So, I would consider us to be on the right track for now. We are planning on staying after school to get it done so we can finally turn it in to Mr. M early! Next, we plan on editing our story and hopefully get it done before the deadline! It's not due till like October 2, but still. That's next month!
First off, I was kind of bummed to find out that Hiki No didn't really want our story and that it was just a mistake, but at the same time, relieved that we didn't have to rush to get it done earlier! Just because Hiki No no longer wants it, doesn't mean we are not going to keep working hard on it! So far we are done with transcribing, and we got four interviews total! We would've had five, but the last on didn't have any sound! Even though we did two sound checks and everything! I was so bummed! At least we have four good interviews to use for our story! We were even able to put together the interview sound bytes into our script, which leads me onto our next topic.
Secondly, we are almost done with our scripts!!!!! I am so proud of myself! Err, us! I can't believe we are so close to being done with our script that's due in October!!! We got our sound bytes done in the beginning, and we got our parts of our interviews in! We even color coded them and all! Although, I added in a few extra shots, so we are going to have to take the camera out again later to get them in. I hope we get it done early, so we can start editing already!!! Nicole has been such a big help towards this project, and I am so thankful to have her as my partner! When I found out that her dad works for the county, I was like, OMG!!!! Yay!!!! Haha, anyways, so yeah, I'm so glad we got our script going!
Lastly, things between me and my partner are going great!!!!! She's so helpful, and she always wants to know if there is something she can do when she doesn't have anything to do at the moment. I'm so glad she went to the media camp, because she already knows how to edit and film interviews and stuff like that that is basic. She understands things well and she does what she's supposed to do, so that's really good that I don't have to tell her twice about things! I have a feeling that by the end of the year, her and I are going to become close!
Anyways, I'm just so relived that I got this far already for my project! I hope I keep this up so we don't start having trouble later on! I also hope that the rest of you are on track with your project like we are :P haha. Now that we've pretty much completed our script, the next thing I hope to do is start editing our final project! I hope all goes well with everyone and everything! This is it for this blog, so see you next time!
