So our project is due in like four days, not including today. How are you guys feeling about this? Me? I'm feeling alright, but not the best. Here's why. We have our basic stuff done, such as everything covered from our script already on the timeline. So, basically our first draft. We still have to show it to Mr. M! All we have for B-oll is pretty much just pictures, and we don't even have sounds for the beginning! Lastly, we only have a little bit of time since we can't stay in after school Monday! So that is really just too bad…
First of all, our deadline sure is coming up soon. We have all of our b-roll and interviews and what-not, already put into the timeline.. Although, there are some minor things that we need to work on, such as fixing interview colors, so it looks nicer, or like adding motion to the pictures. We are pretty much covered for our first draft, but we still need to show it to Mr. M so we can make revisions. I am kind of stressing out a little bit, because it's also finals week, and we're focused on studying for that as well, so we are scrambling to finish up everything at once! I won't even be here on Monday as well, because I have to go on my Art field trip all the way in Hanapepe! I really hope Nicole gets things done for recesses! Ahhhhh!!!!!
Second of all, we didn't even cover the BEGINNING NAT sounds!!! We don't have video clips with sound in them, but we do have video clips… I don't know what we are going to put for the opening shot now! Unless we can find a way to upload the video clips that Mark and shared with me on Dropbox. Please, if you know how, can someone tell me? Anyways, I really hope we get that done, because that's one of the major parts… I know I said we were pau with the first draft, and we are. It doesn't necessarily mean that the first draft is the good one. Once we get our feedback, then we will hopefully have a better beginning.
Lastly, our time is even shorter for us to work on our projects because we no longer have a laptop to use for our project. We are stuck with the big desktops at the school- non portable… It is better than nothing though. It is also easier to like drag things as well because you have a mouse that you can like lift up and move around rather than just a small square. Since we have the desktops, we can't take them home. To make matters worse, which I know is not necessarily his fault, but Mr. M won't be here so we can't stay after school on Monday, and we couldn't today as well! I was really bummed out about that. My plan is to stay in for every recess and bring like home lunch so I can eat my food later on. I hope we have enough time to finish it!
This is going to be our second major deadline… and then there will be our third, and finally, our fourth and final deadline. I am trying to shoot to meet all three leftover deadlines! Starting from this up coming one. So far, I think we are a little bit behind on our schedule, but looking around, I think compared to others, we might be on-time, but I'm just gonna put it in my mind that we are a little behind so that I can convince myself to get it done quicker! Even my mom was telling me that I better hurry up, she was seeming like she was stressing out about my project too! (Don't tell her I said that) This project was a little easier for us in the b-roll situation, since we didn't need to film or shoot any of it, but yet it's harder, because this orphanage is all the way in Thailand, and we are all the way in Kauai! I think this will be a great story though, and I hope it
